Put either poly or solid mounts in it.

I heard poly motor-mounts help a ton, but I also heard installing poly motor-mounts makes pulling your own teeth look easy. From personal experience I can say before you buy anything, re-tighten and re-check everything! Your y-pipe can work itself loose at several places, so really get at that. If it's not all welded, take it by a shop and have everything welded up. But both of those options are cheaper and easier than the motor mounts or tubular k-member. And it's all healthy stuff. Hope that helped.

there are others who have had the lpps hit their motor mounts. search it and see what people did. changing the mount will not fix this issue. if the y pipe is banging the floor that stronger mounts will help.

Sounds like for one you need poly motor mounts. and it seems like the LTs are resting on the k member.. Notch the k member and the vibration will go away

i was thinking of trying solid motor mounts cause i dont think its my y pipe because i can feel the vibration near the peddles. would i be able to put them on without taking my headers off?

I would not recommend SOLID motor mounts, you will hate them. And the vibration is the LTs resting on the k member. I know you said you notched, but is it resting somewhere else? Steering knuckle?

No ive looked over it a million times and i can see it resting on the motor mount thats why i wanted solid mounts cause it looks like they have more clearence and i dont think the poly mounts will help cause it will still be resting on the motor mount

well like i said, you will hate solid motor mounts. You think the vibration that you are experiencing now is bad. Put in the soild mounts.....

I had the same problem with mine. What I did was take it off dimple the primary that was making contact with the mount AND when I re-installed it I adjusted it better than I did the first time. Most of the vibrating was because of bad installation. I also unbolted the Y-pipe from the floor and took off the metal/rubber thing, that was also causing vibration. My y doesnt hit the floor at all. Like I said it's in the adjustment. I have lots of clearance between the mount and the primary now.

Wrong. Changing the motor mounts to solids will solve the headers hitting the mounts. The solids have much, much more clearance.

And you will not hate solid mounts...

I don't understand why everyone always is so scared of solid mounts. They are not NEARLY as bad as what people make them out to be. Hell I had a solid mount car with an MS4/PRC head combo and it didn't bother me in the slightest. No problems at all. I took three friends of mine, all separately for a ride after the solid mounts and not one of them could tell that I swapped mounts...

Really, they're not bad.

It will solve all of your problems. If it is also hitting the K member then you'll need to notch it but other than that solid mounts are definitely the way to go.

Heat it up and hit it with a hammer. Just mark it while its on so you make sure and do it in the right place.

i have lpp's on my 2000 ws6 and they fit great. i did get a vibration like you're speaking of though. It ended up being my y-pipe. Easy fix.

im in the middle of putting LPP's on my car, so far the fitment is great, but when i test fit the driver's side header i see it hitting the K-member already, before i get too into it im going to knotch a good 1/4 to 3/8 out of it. plus the poly motor mounts should help. id say those are a tick shy of being solid. and about the comment of makes pulling your teeth look easy, you weren't kidding. that could be the hardest most time consuming thing i've ever done.

I have the XS headers which is what the previous design LPP's were called. On the driver's side, we had to notch out the K-member, dimple the primary to get it away from the motor mount, elongate the holes on the mounting flange, cut the collector off and reposition it to keep the Y-pipe from hitting the body brace ... so welcome to the party.

My LPP's hit my mount when I mocked them up on the K-memeber out of the car, so I did some custom fab work on my mount, I shouldnt have a problem
