0-60 times??
do you guys ever time yourselves from 0-60? i got a stopwatch a couple days ago and tested to see just being curious and fastest i got mine to 60 was 4.9 taking off easy with decent tire spin all through 1st on 245/45/17s.
my bro with quite a lot more mods(full exhaust, shift kit and a stall)on his 02 ws6 and got a 4.0 with about the same tire spin as me, i thought that was pretty good.
i know it wasn't the most accurate way for me to time but i was just having fun and wanted to see how much quicker my car was compare to stock (i think stock times for f-bodys were between 5.1-5.5 not sure tho)
i was just curious if you guys ever timed your cars to 60. if you have post up the times and mods on your car.

i say a cam/exhaust car with drag radials cutting a 1.70 at the track has gotta be good for a sub 3.5 run to 60. i mean they claim lots of "high end" cars breaking under the 4 second mark on street tires and lots of them dont make much torque.

in this video it looked like a left a hair before 7 seconds and should have clipped 60 at right before 10 secs. so that equates to about a 3.0 run to 60. i figure this based on the fact that the trans shifts out of first at about 45-50 so figure a hair after the shift you are clipping 60. you have to listen for the shift.

Heres a vid showing the 98 slp firehawk do 4.9 to 60. These cars dont get the credit they deserve. And that was a 98, think of the 01-02s.

There is a calculator online for it but it's BS. I calculated mine based on my 1/4 mile time slip. Made a graph of position Y at time X for each distance on the slip, then using good old high school calculus skills figured out my best 0-60 mph to be 5.4 seconds. For perspective I run a 13.32

yeah but you cant tell me that a cam/LT drag radial car couldnt run with said viper or 07 Z06 till 60 when they are on street tires...they wouldnt romp your *** till mid track. hence my thoughts of about 3.0. you should include 60 ft times if you wanna compare apples to apples.
for stock cars, that may go..
but for a 410 4k stall auto on 26" tires... not so much..

If that last published time was 4.8 you would think a full bolt-on car should be somewhere in the 4.2-4.5 second range. That's pretty crazy. Realistically how many stock cars under $40,000 can hit that?
