I know this is a old post but i've noticed this as well. Everyone that post dyno gains never say anything about track gains. Now who would spend over $1,000 for intake & TB and another $250 for porting and not take the car to the track? They wouldn't. This is exactly why i've always been leery about spending that much money since i don't really care about dyno results since i don't drive on a dyno. It's more important what it can gain at the track. The average dyno gain is between 15rwhp to 20rwhp and about 15rwtq and less on smaller head/cam setups. That's only about 1 or 2 tenths in the 1/4 mile. Not a hell of a lot of gain for $1400+.

My buddy who does his own tuning as well gained about 1 mph going from a LS6 intake to a ported 102. Similar track conditions both times. He has a basic HCI LS1. I don't think he was too impressed considering the cost, and I don't blame him.
I have a Fast 92 myself but no back to back comparison. I wouldn't be surprised if I gained hardly anything at the track lol
