2000 ws6 heads

I have a 2000 ws6 and it has 241 heads on it, are these ls6 heads? and also to change the valve springs does a guy gota pull the heads off to do that?

You can do valve springs while the heads are still on the car

243s are ls6 heads. 241s are regulars.

doesnt matter on the year, the 241 head is not an ls6 head. 243 heads are ls6s and the 799s are ls6 heads.

There is a thread explaining the casting numbers on GM LSx Heads. I believe it states that mid-year 2000 was when GM switched from cast #806 to #241. So a year 2000 F-body could have 241 heads from the factory.
