Default !AIR pump and hoses. need help asap!

need to know how to disconnect/remove the device and bracket at the back of the engine on the driver's side where the three air hoses connect. I got the nut off of the top of it where it mounts to the last coil pack, is there one in the back behind the motor?(I think I could feel one mounting the bracket to the head?) if so what size is this bolt?

I think it is a 15mm bolt.

Not sure of the size of the bolt, but I loosedned the bolt and discovered like you that I could'nt get it off, so I just pulled the junction box right off the bracket and re-tightened the bolt. Worked for me!

I got it out with one of those geared end-wrenches; yes it was a bitch! All I can remember for the size is it was quite a bit bigger than I expected.

I second that, it was big bolt for such a small braket.

dont sweat it. i also believe it is a 15mm but you only have to just barley loosen it. the back of the bracket is not a bolt hole it is in a "u" shape so if you take a box wrench and just loosen it it will pull right off. just did mine last week when checking my pushrods. is much easier with the coil paks off.

What did you guys do with the small vacuum lines attached to the junction block? I pulled one of them off and started the engine and could hear it sucking air?

Just plug it. A lot of auto parts stores have a kit of different sized/colored rubber plugs.

That's what I was about to do. What are the functions of those hoses and where do they connect to on the other end?

I guess that's where it goes? somewhere hidden back there.

It just goes into the back of the intake manifold. You can yank it all the way off and just plug it back there if you want to. Since it's impossible to see what you are doing back there, I just pluged the line were it came off the solenoid valve that I removed.
