Why would this not fit under the cowl of an F-body. It looks like it will clear.

Screw type blowers are much more efficient than roots for making lots of power.
Someone definetly needs to put a kit together with one of these for the F-bod's!

I have contacted Whipple and Kenne Bell.
Whipple acted an *** and said that the compression on the F-Body and is to high for them to consider it. I guess no one in the freaking world would ever change their pistons and set an engine up for a blower. I spoke with a few of them they were all ******. I even asked about buying the parts so I could put one together myself but they acted like they did not want to sell the parts so I told them to stick it up their ***.

Kenne Bell would not comment why, but just said no.

Now I know Magnacharger has said there is fitment problems but here is my thought. They make a side mount for the truck why cant they do it for the car? we could use the FAST two piece intake or one of the others in this thread as a way to mount an intercooler. Also the new Ford GT is using a Eaton SCREW charger, not just a roots with a mild twist in the lobes, it is a true screwcharger (with intercooler.) Eaton superchargers are produced by the parent company of Magnacharger so I am pretty sure that they could produce a true screwcharger.

Just a thought.
Later,
Bart

As far as I know, Magnuson's kit fits the 'vette only, they even have one with the intercooler that fits now. Too bad GM jammed then engine in the dash of the F-bodies...

As far as the comment about the Roots-type not making as much HP as a screw-type, absolutely. But the Roots was originally started with the hot rodders in mind (pre-war). I am also doing finned Edelbrock/Moon style finned valve covers. They even want the old breathers on them (the rectangle-shaped ones). I asked them if they want me to pre-spray the breathers with oil and road film!! Some said yes.

Very interesting!

When a company like Kenne Bell gives U a one word answer, and no comment as to why not, it kinda makes U think/wonder about what kinda covert ops they might be up to in their shop!

Somethings definetley cooking, we just can't know about it yet!

Your engine is absolutely a work of art. The headers also look like quality all the way, however they are not LT's, what about their scavaging effectiveness?

These are for display and hot rod fitments. I would imagine the scavenging is non-existent. Thanks for the compliment on the engine, it's been quite a bit of work...
