Default ls6 manifold + bbk 80mm tb issue?

hey everyone, not sure if this happened to anyone before but this weekend i installed the BBK 80mm throttle body and Ls6 manifold at the same time. no other changes were made.

First problem was that i noticed the part throttle shift points arent the same as they used to be. they happen a little sooner than they used to. I didnt reset the pcm/unplug the battery when i did these mods because I didnt think it was necessary since i did the catback and airlid without disconnecting the battery.

Also, another seperate but less important issue is that when the car is idling, it has a very tiny surge to it like every 5 seconds or so it will idle about 50 rpm higher and then go back to normal. Its so slight that if the radio is on or if you are talking you wont notice it and u can just barely see the tachometer move but the car didnt do that before either...... anyone know wats causing these 2 problems??

Try doing a TPS reset:

- Turn car off
- Remove TPS Sensor wire harness
- Turn car to ign position (DO NOT START)
- Wait 30 seconds
- Turn ign off
- Plug in TPS Sensor wire harness

tried that and it didnt do anything. the slight surge issue seems to be from the iac plunger in the throttle body because I can hear a wooshing sound from the ram air nostrels whenever it has that surge so im not sure if maybe i damaged it when I was cleaning it? i just rubbed some of the carbon off with a dry paper towel but i did it very gently. still dont know why the part throttle shift points would be changed though that doesnt make any sense. they are about 300-400 rpm lower than they were before.

I'm not a fan of that TB at all...

Try opening up the minimum blade angle screw just a tiny bit. Follow that by the TPS reset. It sounds like your base minimum airflow is too low.

lol i can tell Steve, I'll try that tonight. The car is very jumpy with this TB its almost hard to take off normally. At red lights I feel like I am racing everyone because the throttle is so sensitive.

i tried to open up that screw but its in a hard to get to area and none of the allen keys would fit. I tried 7/64 and that was too small and then 1/8 was too big..... does anyone know wat size it is? if anything the car is idling higher than normal so i dont know if opening up the blade even more would be the right thing to do. also, how would this be effecting the shift points?? doesnt make sense.....
