There is no way that a set of fresh plugs is going to make the car run rich. There is something else that is increasing the injector pulse width.

what could it be? cause thats all i did was change the plugs. i figured maybe it wasnt firing right....or cause they were new plugs and werent firing as much so it wasnt burning all the gas. i dont know. the numbers seem to be comming back to normal, just let me know...

perhaps the old plugs were gapped differently? If the old plugs weren't burning off all the gas, you'd get a richer signal to the o2 system which would trim back the fuel. Now your new plugs are perhaps burning the fuel more efficiently requiring more fuel right?

how old were the old plugs btw?

I wouldn't say that it's the plugs. The new plugs are probably working better than the oldies, but the rest of your ignition isn't up to par to keep up with the better running plugs. Have you diagnosed the rest of your ignition system. If you are going to go to aftermarket plug wires, I recommend Magnecors. They have great success over the other stuff, and you don't have to ever concern yourslef abou the quality. www.magnecore.com You'll need to download their catalog using Adobe, but the wires are there. I've used them in the past in dirt track, and that's all I would ever consider. Read up on their site very informative). As far as the gapping of the plugs goes, I can't understand why you were running a gap that big. You didn't specify what you were running, or any modifications.
