Idle problem with f13

Default Idle problem with f13

I recently purchased a 01 formula from a local friend who had our local turner do the tuning. The car has a f13, springs, pushrods, ls6 intake, boltons, and 3200 stall. From a cold start, when I turn it on and let it warm up it rides well. But when I try to back out of a parking space, it almost always stalls out. If i touch the gas, it will drop the rpms and it stalls out unless I let it idle backwards without touching the gas. It also loves to stall at a low speed with the A/C on or while making a low speed turn. I know being cammed it loses streetability, but does it have to be that bad? Would raising the idle help out at all, its set at about 800. I've also heard about drilling the throttle body to let more air in. Any help would be appreciated!

1) DO NOT DRILL YOUR TB (im assuming you read ls1howto.com)
2) its probably in the tune, have a reputable tuner take a look at it.

Ok, I'll ignore the drilling the throttle body idea haha. If its just a tuning issue than that sounds good to me! Any other ideas?

i had the same issues as you. i have a 3200 stall and a 230 size cam. it would buck and surge and die out. like when i let my foot off the gas and cruise through parking lots it would buck and then sometimes die out. i had to take it back to my tuner to get it all taken care of. it drives alot better. but you definitely need to take the car back to the tuner. definitely in the tuning.

Thats great to hear! A new tune is a lot better than some of the alternatives I was thinking. What you experienced is exactly whats happening with mine. Thanks for the input

no problem. my car still somewhat bucks slightly, but not as bad as before. you just need to get it retuned.
