85mm throttle body and ls6 intake manifold
#2
The BBK 85mm will fit on a LS6 intake. I will come with a spacer that reduces down to the 78mm size snout of the LS6 intake. I ran that setup for 2 years until i went to my Victor Jr/4150 throttle body setup that i run now.
With the FTP 85mm lid and BBK 85mm throttle body i went from 122.2 mph to 123.55 mph at the track but 60ft. was was off so ET did not change but the MPH was telling me it was working on the other end.

I would stay with a ported stocker you are only as strong as your weakest link if the manifold is only 78 mm you could have a 100mm TB but at the end of the day its still got to fit in a 78mm hole. Just my .02

How much material is left once you do that? It seems like there wouldnt be a space for the gasket anymore. i would like to see pics if anyone has some.

there is nothing wrong with using the reduction spacer, actually in some theory it adding velocity to the incoming air into the intake, thus making it better then just a ported tb that would not
but obviously it would work better if you had i 85 mm intake opening

Yeah i hear you on that one...its just that I dont have the room in the rx7 for the spacer. If I put the spacer in, the elbow coming off the tb doesn't have room anymore to clear the radiator. But from what your saying, would it result in a hp loss?
