picking the right manifold

i have a torquer 3 cammed ss with full exhaust, i was wondering if a stock ls6 would be good enough, or should i look into a FAST, or something like that? thanks

What is "good enough" for you? The FAST will definitely outperform the stock LS6 intake.

well i'm looking for the best bang for your buck i guess. someone told me not to trust typhoon intake manifolds. do you know anything about that?

Don't know about the Typhoon. The LS6 is definitely an upgrade over stock. You can get an LS6 for around $300.00. You may want to do that considering it'll help out the rest of your bolt-on mods at a reasonable price. FAST is gonna run you around $850.00. In short, it all usually comes down to how much you want to spend...!

Here is a link on some intake testing and result I have also found them to be good Look at the rpm range and throttle bodies used to get results and look at the cost differance for the hp gains hope it helps you decied

I would just run the LS6 Intake there are numerous cars on here making over 700 hp still using the LS6 inatke. Will the FAST outperform the LS6? Yes, but for 1,100 dollars I would rather buy PRC 2.5 Heads and get another 30-35 hp gain and then worry about the FAST. Or then after the Heads keep the LS6 Intake and just get Nitrous and then you will have as much Horsepower as you Need.

The LS6 Intake is Fine with a 175 Shot. On my LS6 I have ran a two stage Nitrous setup with a 225 shot on it before. I would get a re-tune for saftey issues though. Best of Luck. Throw some pics of your ride up
