Default lt's, which o2's?

well guys finally got a set of lt's and ory,so my question is what o2's should i get.i was pretty much dead set on the bosch 13111's but now browsing the forum i see alot of problems with insufficient switching codes and what not on any o2, so should i go with them , i heard they have a better heater or should i stay with my stock ones with extensions, which by the way are quite old over 100k on them so for the sake of not dealing with the infamous SES light what should i do by the way i do have a local tuner so rear o2's will not be a problem, thanks again guys!

If you have a tuner, switching codes aren't a problem. Those are good O2s, they were the ones that I was going to pop in and recommend.

so my tuner uses hp tuners software can he widen paramatars or just completly tune the codes out if they happen to come on and if so would tuning them out just put a bandaid on a real problem? so u think i should go ahead with those sensors instead of extensions?

Densos. $40.00 www.rockauto.com
GM now uses Densos for their own AC Delco 02 sensors now. They charge upwards of $160 for re-boxed Densos.

Bosch are garbage.

I've never read that a Denso was a problem. I've got them in my LT's now for about 5 months, they're perfect.

I doubt GM would choose these as their 02 sensors if they're were any problems with them at all.

I can tell you this though...Bosch...my engine will simply not run with them and I know quite a few people that have the same results. Horrible.

You will be completely satisfied with Densos.

I don't know what to tell you, but just because you had A bad experience doesn't mean it's the norm.

I have looked at 2-300 sets of them while logging and I can SEE them switch better at low engine speeds.

GM's choice of sensor isn't (or shouldn't be) relevant here; GM didn't choose long tube headers for the cars, they used cast iron manifolds.

I don't sell them, so it's not like I am making this up to push an agenda.

I agree, the bosch seem to switch better than ac's, atleast they did in my lt1 383 car. It would be nice if somebody designed a o2 sensor specifically for lt headers!!

well nelson performance told me that the corvette o2's being better is crap, which i kind of figured by some of the post on here, and that i should use the o2's for our cars with extensions ,whatever brand they may be.

I believe the Vette's have been using Densos for years.

My 427ci went in in 2002. I continued to use my original factory sensors from 1998 with my 427ci. About 4 years ago one of my original factory AC Delco sensors went out (had 3+ years with my 427ci in LT's on them).

On my way to Mecedo Motorsports to use their lift I stopped and bought two new Bosch sensors. We put them in and the engine would literally hardly stay running. The scanner showed they were working properly though. I jumped in my friends car, brought them back and got a full refund. Then went to the dealership and picked up 2 new AC Delcos, put them in and instantly the engine was perfect. I drove off.

This year, about 5 months ago, one of them went out. I ordered two new AC Delcos from Bennett for $180.00 for the two of them. I got there to pick them up, opened the box and I found Densos in there. I had the guy pull two Denso plugs off the shelf to look at them and they were 100% identical. But they were $120.00 for both. So I bought them. They're perfect in my LT's.

My friend at a Pontiac dealer confirmed that GM uses Densos now.

Why doesn't GM use Bosch....because they have way too many problems across the country, its common knowledge that they either work or they don't. That means they suck overall. I don't anyone that has ever had a problem with Densos, but Bosch, you hear it all the time.

But you can buy whichever ones you want.

I've been running Bosch 'Vette rears for more than two years (actually probably closer to three) with my long tubes and have had zero issues. Didn't have to change anything with tuning other than tune the rears out.

Example of a car that works with Bosch. Like I said....some peoples PCM's like them and some refuse them. I;'ve been saying for years that all PCM'sare "not created equal". Some act totally different than others. Don't ask me why, but its true.
