Will A Fast 92mm Help My Setup?
while i see what you guys mean about the MAF being smaller than the TB.....i still picked up good power. not all the gains are from the bigger TB.
HOWEVER some of it IS...since those modified ls6 intakes (with the 90mm snout and TB) show gains.
After reading some of the replies I realized I forgot one part..... I still have the stock mass airflow sensor on my car. How much will this hurt me if I don't do the 85mm? One other question, on SLP's website it says the 85mm mass airflow is for stock tune, why?
Thanks,

even if you change the MAF, the opening on most lids is only 75mm or so.
the aftermarket mafs are calibrated to run on stock tuning. and even then, they aren't done well since every car is a little different.
if you really want to take full advantage of the bigger TB/intake, you'll need a bigger lid (several places make 100mm lids) and a Truck MAF. then take it to a GOOD tuner who can upload the right calibration tables for the new MAF, and tune the car for everything.
i plan to do a dyno comparison on my next big upgrade. i plan heads soon, and i'll also get the bigger lid and MAF. plan to do the head swap, tune it, then throw the lid/maf on it and re-tune. see what the gains are.
