Default Real World FAST Intake Gains

So I swapped my LS6 intake and Ported/polished stock throttle body with a ported FAST 92/92. No other changes made, so I consider these great real world gains

Old LS6 Best MPH 113.2 with a DA of 600
with a corrected trap of 113.7mph

New FAST Best MPH 115.6 with a DA of 1700
with a corrected trap of 117.9mph

Nice gains, how about the rest of the setup (heads/cam/etc)?

Very, very nice results. I bet it if you did back to back dyno pulls before and after it wouldn't have picked up 40 hp. Just goes to show dyno #s arent everything.

Funny you say that....I had it dynoed in april and it made 397 rwhp and I had it dynoed yesterday and it made 443. But that was on different dynos. I know it didnt pick it up 40 HP but the power increase thru out the entire curve may contribute to the MPH gain. That and it also carries the power further before falling off.

I've seen your noma on S10forum zx9 and I love it I bet its really fun now. This is why I still keep my truck and save my money because one day this swap is what I really want to do in my truck.

Nice... I also added a ported 90/90 combo to my cam only Camaro. I have no track or dyno to back anything up, but it definitely was noticed after the tune and swap. I'm going back to the same dyno in not too long. Congrats on the gains.

Yea the old 113.2 was the highest mph over about a 4 month period of every other weekend track trips. The new fast time was the first night out and I know now after the dyno it will carry way past where I was shifting. So the spread will grow even more. I was very skeptical about dropping the dough on the fast but WOW I cant believe how it woke up my setup.

The guy seems to have a bad rep around here. I never heard of the guy or company until I was getting the intake. So after some searching he is banned here and some other sites I frequent.

Bret is the man. This is actually my old intake, and the porting cost around $400. This isn't some cartridge rolled cleaned up intake. Bret takes the intakes apart, sets it on a mockup engine, with the heads that are going to be used for porting. He literally has hours into the intakes he ports, you wouldn't believe how poor the port alignment and casting flash is on these out of box. I have actually been told that he actually has some new things he does to the intake to help out even more, since i had mine done. I knew you would be happy with the intake man!

BTW i made 471/422 with 243's from Bret, this intake, and a BRE 230* cam so although he may have a bad rap around here he does excellent work and would recomend him to anyone.

6speed. Went from bolt ons and 353/357 to 471/422 with that setup on same dyno in similar conditions.
