How long can the spark plugs be left out of the heads?

How long can the spark plugs be left out of the heads? How long is safe?
I'm not finished with everything and am wondering how long they can be left out of the heads without issue.
Same goes for the dipstick.
No luck with a search.

As long as your motor is protected from debri and dirt getting in the holes, i'm sure you could leave them out forever. I would probably change the oil though if it's out for a long time.
