Default Burnout

I was trying to do a burnout and the first time wheels started spinning then stopped and the car was gunnna turn off. Second attempt didnt get that far just went straight to turning off smoke came out but it wasnt the tires it was clutch. Third attempt wheels spun then car started turnin off. Heres how i did it i pushed the clutch in got it to 4 rpm then dumped it and held the break and tried getting the rpm up to five and kept turning off on me with the tcs off. Did i do something wrong. Oh and i have to jam it to get it into any gear. Doesnt wanna go into reverse at all unless i use force. How bad is the damages and if i let it sit for a lil will it go back to normal until i can find a clutch?

im assuming you meant 4k rpm, after you dump the clutch, get on the brake with your left foot but only apply enough pressure to keep the car from moving. The smoke from your clutch either means you had a bad clutch to begin with, or you are using to much pressure on the brakes that you start cooking your clutch. Buy a Line Lock and never have this problem again. The thing about you having to force the shifter into reverse, means you might have a blown (eng. sens) fuse, you can find this fuse in the engine compartment on the drivers side behind the headlight.

I would stop trying to spin the tires if I was you.

I dont really mess with it in the rain. I spin my tires very easy. Lose traction sometimes when i bang gears racing. 4th burnout since i owned the car. 3 Attempts fail today and first one worked but again think the clutch is shot.

Spending is defintly fun when you get something you want and like. Spinning is no problem the problem is a stand still burnouts any recommendations on how to do it better.

rev higher i rev over at least 5500 then dump it and stand on the brakes or get a line lock and not to be a smartass but you are sure you didnt have the traction control on right?

id definately go with at least an ls7 clutch no less than that or your wasting your money and time. id recommend the spec 3+ if you plan on doing extensive mods and plan to race a good bit (i love mine)

I can get mine to spin just by letting the clutch out around 3000 rpm. You dont need brakes to do a burnout, here check mine out

Here is a burnout I did when all my car had was an SLP lid, it even had that stupid skip shift. These cars make good power when they are stock and you should have no problems roasting a set of tires.

Those are nice videos. Maybe i missed something when i did it. How do you guys do a stand still burnout? I had it in 2nd, traction off, rev'd 4k, dumped clutch, held brake all the way down, gave it gas, and turned off on me. Take into consideration my clutch is messed up.
