Default Power Pulleys, are they worth it?

Just wondering if its worth buying power pulleys and what brand. I know ASP has a crank and alternator set that seems reasonable, and claims of 13 rear wheel hp? and 2/3 mpg improvement (according to WS6 store.com info) The mpg improvement alone would be worth it to me. What if any down sides? Daily driven bolt on LS1 car

Thanks!

Yes, it is worth it. As noted, they free up HP that had been needed to drive the stock pullies.

I've heard good things about the ASP. Also heard a lot of good things about SLP's. I'm gonna go with SLP's since they have extra high retaining walls to minimize the chance of throwing a belt. I've seen threads where some people who got the ASP were throwing belts every once and a while.

I went ASP, still haven't installed it though. I see it as one of those mods that I wouldn't spend my time doing until I'm doing a bunch of things at the same time... like heads/cam

An underdrive pulley is a tried and true bolt-on, proven power and ET... Idk why anyone is disapproving??

personally i dont not care for an underdrive pulley. I seen zero gains at the track in either tenths or mph with mine. All that it does is make your car heat up quicker when idling b/c of the lack of coolant flow. When ur sitting in the staging lanes ready to race you dont want to heat up quicker. I might have gain 5hp with it but its not worth the $200. i wouldnt waste your time unless you have a cam, supercharger or turbo. just my .02 boys
