Hawaii doesn't have emissions; they have safety inspections and RECON for modified vehicles. I left there a year ago so I can't say if they have changed anything as of then. Check on HIFBA for some more answers. Great group of guys!

in dallas county, there is technically a 'visual' inspection along with safety test and OBD test. in 4 years, the only place i've ever seen do a visual inspection was a dealership. and besides the OBD test, i've never had anywhere check anything else beyond lights and horn.

but then again, my car is pretty quiet, so they never question if all my emissions equipment is there or not. if your car is very loud, they might be more likely to question things... unless you go to the types of places that just dont care.

Yes they do. Here is a list of good sites to check out and get some info.

hifba.com (Hawaiian Island F-Body Asso.; originally k.a. PHFBA)
lsxhawaii.com (newer site by one of the HIFBA founders)
paradisecruisers.com (all around Hawaii cruiser club)

1/8th? Damn Rex, what happened to the site plans they had a year ago for the new park? I remember they had plans for it in either Kunia or Kalealoa? Is the ferry still dead too?
