Question DMH cutout questions

Alright, I'm looking at buying a DMH cutout since my QTP took a crap on me forever ago. It's been capped for over a year, but the car hasnt really been running for that year, so it hasnt mattered much I definitely don't want to get another Qtek cutout because the stupid shaft broke TWICE! I was able to fix it the first time, but the next time it broke in a different way which was unfixable.. Anyways, here are my questions:

1) What switch comes with the DMH cutout? I've done searches here and on google, and I've seen 2 types- a small rectangular one, and a round one. The description on the DMH setup says the switch is .75x.5 so that leads me to believe its rectangular, but on the other hand, I see recent threads not even a month old showing newly installed ones with the circular switch. So which is it? Kind of retarded and frustrating how DMH's website shows like 50 pictures of the cutout installed, but not even ONE picture of the switch!

2) How do you know when the cutout is fully open or fully closed? Is there an indication light or lights? My QTP HAD a small LED light, but the stupid thing never worked, so I had to press the switch and hold it while listening to hear if its all the way open or closed. I'm sure that contributed to that stupid shaft breaking, but I had no other way of knowing when to let up other than going by sound as the motor speed didnt at all seem to be consistant or responsive.

DMH has a 3 year warranty so that awesome

1) Mine came with a round one

2) You have to know. I timed it the first time, and now I just count it in my head. It's about 3 seconds for mine.

Your best bet is just to call DMH with the number provided on their site. He'll be able to answer your questions directly.

Tried calling them 4 times so far today, and get a busy signal every time.. I guess I have my answers now though. I hate that theres no indication other than sound and/ or counting out how long it takes. Thats what broke my QTP

You do have a little bit more peace of mind with the DMH because of the 4 year warranty.

Yea, just got ahold of the guy. He was very nice, and very helpful. He said he has rigged a cutout to simulate the switch stuck open and left it for a day and nothing was broken. So he reversed it to simulate the switch stuck in the other direction and left it there for a day and same story. He said the motor wasnt even warm at all. He said he has tried to break his cutouts on purpose and can't do it. Only way he has seen them break is from being hit on the ground from them being installed in a bad place on the car. But he was very reassuring with the 4 year warranty and honestly, I am sold on the DMH. I'll be ordering from them as soon as I am ready!

And oh, just for the record, he said that by default, they come with a round switch because most people want to just be able to drill a hole for installing them, but he also has the rectangular switches available, and actually he thinks the rectangular ones work better, but said you have the choice of whichever one you want when ordering. I'll probably be going with the rectangular one. I have a dremmel and dont mind making a rectangular cut if the switch works better

Well, I've got one vid of how it sounds with the old QTP cutout open altho this was with the old 5.7L combo.. I think I maxed out the mic on the camera tho

I'll get vids of it on the new 370 setup with DMH soon as I get a chance
