I hopefully will be ordering my pacesetters in a few months. Right now I can't deciede if I should keep my gmmg and use the off road y pipe with the pacesetters or go true duals.

Default header accessories?

what kind of exhaust clamps do the headers come with to attach it to the Y? aare they just regular clamps? or did anyone use maybe, band clamps so the pipes don't get tweaked too bad? let me know what you used. thanks, Jess

they were those u bolt clamps or whatever. these headers come with every damn thing u need, its great.

ok everything fits great and i would have to say even though the motor mounts are a bitch that they are a must do. the ypipe only hits the torque arm because its almost resting right on it and the header hit the kmember sometimes on rihgt hand turns. here is a beforer and after pic of the gap in the kmember. no more noise now, just have to figure out how to take care of that pipe where it hits the torque arm...hjeaders slid right in. took the starter out and had to hit the driver side firewall in 1/8 and inch and it was perfect, great header and fit, the price does no justice how good these are.

first pic is before grinding it down, look towards that tiny gap at the bottom, yea thats all teh room. when i get under the car to take some pics u will see hey could have moved it over 1/2 in without a problem. this is the only complaint i have about these

blue by you :: they come with reg u clamps which I threw away, orilley stock two differant 3" band clamps ( not sure what is diff, between the two as I used the cheeper ,( 3" dia, by 3" wide which use 2 bolt to tighten )which cost me 9.80 each the higher ones would have cost me 19.80 at wholesale price

Thanks for the explanation on the crushed part of the pipe. Although I understand I still don't like it. Really don't see why they counldn't have dropped it lower to clear what ever needs to be cleared. For the average LS1 making less than 400 hp the crushed part probably won't reduce hp. I would guess it still has more flow area than a 2 1/2" pipe. A dual 2 1/2" can certainly make over 400 hp.

the only thing about the clips is that he didnt have cats before he put on the headers so theres not a ton of difference. As far as the y goes it wouldve made for like 3-4 more bends which if they did mandrel wouldve costed them more money bringing up the price to where people wouldve just said f it and got a custom one done anyway.

there isnt much difference in sound in the clips its hard to tell but in person its a lot deeper, but u can tell less poping and raspyness. above 3000 rpm its TOTALLY different

i think i have a sound clip with cats on, let me try and find it
