Default ProCharger install with elec water pump

I've got an '05 F1 that needs to be installed on an LS6 '02 SS that has a Meterie (?) elec. water pump. Do I need longer bolts, spacers or what? What are the chances the parts I need came with the SC? Is the elec water pump going to pose a big problem? thanks.

BTW - I'm having it done by a good shop so how long should it take if they get right on it?

I'm thinking this should be in the forced induction section.

My "J" bracket for the D1 procharger uses the alternater as its mounting place so the water pump should be out of the way.

No clearance issues with the electric water pump?? No fabricating brackets or whatever??

I dont have a electric water pump, But the blower sits away from the water pump. The stock water pump is alot bigger than a electric unit too. Here's a few pics of mine that might help you.

I would go to the shop and have them show you / explain what "extra" fabricating is needed because of the electric water pump. Suckes to hear hope you get it figured out.

They don't have the job yet. I don't see why they would say the elec. water pump will cause them to have to fabricate something. Wouldn't ProCharger have already done that? And what's with ,ore than a month to install an F1 on a 4th gen???

I would listen to Conan on the fact that you should go to the shop and let them show you what needs to be done. But since it seems your having trouble with the shop you currently have your car at...I would just take the car back and bring it to a reputable sponsor like Vengeance since they are in Georgia.

X2

I would go look around for another shop, like Vengeance. I know shops are busy and what not, but if all they are doing is bolting on the blower and the plumbing that should take 2 day. Hell when I installed my prochager for the first time it took me about 10 hours start to finish.

Looks like labor runs about $1,000 per actual hour of work. Seems high to me.

If that # isn't exaggerated I would tell them thanks for the quote and you'll get back to them.

It's a slight exaggeration. What I need to know is does the ProCharger clear the elec. water pump w/o a major problem???

It appears that the elec. water pump does NOT interfere with the ProCharger in any way!

So the physical dimensions of the D1 and F1 are about the same?

So if the D1 doesn't require a lot of extra work on behalf of the installer neither does the F1?
