I'd just buy the cheapo coolant crossover conversion. It eliminates the entire coolant line under the intake. Which will eliminate needing to modify anything.

The black one pictured above is a friend of mine & member on here ChevyChad. That intake is on a forged 370 w/F1 Procharger.

Im glad to see this intake gaining some credit. Ive had mine for 2 years now and got alot of **** from members on here when i first put it on. "Heat soak"

My only complaint is the weight disadvantage over the plastic type intakes.

Looks real good and i really like that black one, i wonder how it would look in red? It may be a little to much if it was done in red?

Yeah, the weight really sucked putting it on trying to get it over the oil pressure sensor, I ended up taking the barbed vacuum hose out, then once I got the intake on, I put it back in. I broke my first sensor off because I didnt realize how close it really was back there.

You did you replace the rear passenger side valley cover bolt with a button head bolt, correct?

Yep, I did that, my coolant pipes were not sitting flat against the valley covers so I just made sit flat. Actually when you tighten the intake down, it would have probably pulled the intake flat to the heads, I just wanted it to sit flat before I started bolting it down.

Yeah, I just wanted to make sure before I install my SSI (painted black)and 85mm TB(black), I also want to keep the stock coolant lines.

Where do you get this from and does it use both front and back coolant holes?

You talking about Soul TKR's car. That is the voltant air intake. It works with a Ram air hood of some sort.

Sorry for the newb question - I thought I read that an '02 f-body has an LS6 intake. If so a BBK doesn't gain that much, right?

Does that voltant intake clear a stock sized hood? My scoop is functional. It pipes air around and rams it in on the underside of where the stock filter location is.

yes it fits on a stock hood. As a matter of fact it was made for a stock hood. I added the thick weatherstripping on mine for additional sealing since I have the WS6.
