Default BBK intake..

How many members are using the BBK SSi intake for their LS application? I'm looking for your impressions on performance. It sounds to be a decent piece if your looking for LS6 intake performance for a similar price. Much cheaper than the FAST.

I'm looking to replace my LS1 intake and I'm thinking either this one or an LS6 manifold.

Thanks!

Oh, sorry for the Title of the thread. I'm not claiming BBK's makes those numbers. It's just an attention getter.

You've got my attention, and I don't think much of it.
I'm considering changing it to something even more
bogus. Or maybe even embarassing.

I have one, just posted on it, no dyno numbers yet, in the spring when I get my cam put in, I will update everyone. For $325 , I coulnt pass it up. Its nice because it solves all of the factory problems with removing the intake. I bet I can take my intake off in about 20 minutes now. They made it so you can get a wrench to every bolt and take it off. There are allen head bolts holding the fuel rails down, piece of cake to get to also.

Coastie,

Not the same thread. However, Sweet's got some nice photos up.

Sweet,

How long did your install take you? After driving it a bit more what do you think of it?

JimmyPop,

Do you think the price of the FAST is justified by the powergains over the BBK? BBK is a pretty good price for someone coming from an LS1 intake. Also, are you aware if the FAST is CARB legal. Unfortunately I live in Cali now and I've got to deal with the dreaded SMOG test every couple years. I got some info from BBK and they are currently waiting word back from CARB with an E.O. number for their intake to make it SMOG legal in Cali. For the price, I think if it is CARB legal I may pull the trigger on the BBK. Just waiting for more folks with the BBK to pass along some Cheers for it.

M1 T/A,

What do you think? Are you satified with your performance? Did you switch over from an LS1?

Thanks!

I had the intake, air pump stuff and EGR removed off in about 3 or 4 hours. To install the intake, takes about an hour.

As far as driving it runs great, Feels like a SOTP gain. Runs just like it did before, idles great.
