I purchased the new LPP's with the HVMC's and I thought I'd let you guys know they don't tell you but there is a flat spot on the second primary on the driver's side header right before it connects to the flange. I e-mailed them for an exchange and they said all of theirs do that and they don't know how to fix it and then showed me a pic of their car with the same flat spot right there on the header. That's false advertising to me

I started at 0900, and thus far I have removed: DS Spark Plugs, wires, AIR Line. I am now on break I should go back at it soon. I fear that the PS side Plugs are going to be real pain in the ***!

Hey Jimmypop, if they emailed you the pic, do you still have it? Post it up!

"I am now on break "

As I recall, on a "break" in Alabama means the early happy hour down at Stumpies bar & grill.

Sorry dude, I just hadda... Seriously, I hope your install goes well. Do your LPP's have the flat spot Jimmypop mentioned?

It will in no way hurt your performance any. Here's a picture of the set on my own car. You can see they have the same flat spot."

I kinda pisses me off that they are hiding this from people.

yes,(I'm on another beer break ) its about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch, I thought Fedex was messing with the box, but I dont think it will restrain the exhaust, I will take a picture of them before they go up. Right now Im debating whether or not I should heat wrap them because there's a lot of wires on the passenger side that have me a bit worried.

I'm about to unbolt the Cats and Y pipe. I'm gonna stop in about three more hours, so I can go trick or treating

I took it to LMR to see about having it removed and the guy that would do it looked at it & said it wouldn't affect performance. But still, ya know!

well, the CAT bolts were a PITA the Impact gun had no effect on theese, do I have to remove them by hand?

so far: 7 Plugs and wires out #7 is still there I will tackle it from the bottom, EGR, AIR is gone! I dont know how it came out but the three way valve just came out as soon as I took the check valves off. I still have to take the bracket out, looks that I'll get it some other time, my hand does not fit back there.

to the guys who has done them before am I close to the end of the tunnel? or is there a bunch of crap comming my way?

ok as of now all intake is done egr and air removed headers installed..... and yes i have that flat spot on the #3 cylinder right on top by the flange.....

ok aside from my jack takin a ****, the dip stick bolt not fitting past the header flange(had to grind down the cast in warsher on the bolt), pass side went in like a charm...

the driver side was twice as easy to get to and get all the old **** out but the header FITS LIKE ****... it has that flat spot which i am ok with but its hitting the cast arm that holds the motor mount, the pancake deal the lower a-arm rear is bolted to, and its lookin toward grannys house and not toward where i thought it should...

i did remove the coil packs for install which IS A MUST... the back bolt on the pass side was hell to get to and SLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW comin out..... plugs were actually easy as i done the pass side before i installed the header and was just careful not to bump them during install and wires went on easy.... the thick part of the wire boot is touching the header? how long will this last and can i get 45* boots to fit?....

this has been the hardest vehicle i have ever worked on since its hell to reach anything.... but i did manage to swap intake without breaking the OPSU (i think) have not started anything yet
