Yeah I havent started yet. I'm waiting on my Strano's to get here so I can do it all in one swing. My friend just put his TSP's on and he said it was a pain. no fabrication though he said his bolted right up. I'm hoping for the same luck

Its not too hard comparitively speaking to other vehicles but then again I worked at a muffler shop for years and done header swaps on alot of vehicles. I even got to lookin forward to doing swaps on LT1 cars compared to some of em.

Just plan on two 8hr days installing the headers. It should only take a day, but if you run into troubles at some point, you can walk away and continue later on. this works for me because I don't work well when Im pissed off lol. It's not that difficult of a install, you just need alot of patience!

i just did a set of slps and from what ive read they are almost if not the worst to install. Wasnt too bad but did take a couple days with trial and error. Good luck on your install and remove the plugs. i cracked three trying to get the headers up in place.

Anyone have any experience with a spring install? I'm raising mine up from the sportline drop to the Strano's whenever i get them (hopefully soon). Just wondering how difficult it will be.

Default Headers.

Apparently none of you guys have installed longtubes on a 3rd gen

4th gens are super easy. i had a lift & air tools at my shop it only took 3 hours for full header install minus the engine mounts.
i would highly recommend you install some poly or solid engine mounts before you install the longtube headers, its also a good time to install new spark plugs and wires if you got them, i installed new GM exhaust gaskets they work great. yes i have installed spings on 4 gens. you will need a good spring compressor tool and a alignment after the front springs are installed.
i had the the SLP suspension package, and installed koni 4/4 and Strano springs, and man it was a world of difference, so it was already about the same ride height but still needed a alignment and PHR for the rear.

good luck
