i'd go with TSP's. i had one, but sold it to go with a SD tune. Even now, i'm considering buying another and staying with a MAF tune, but i dunno.

I'm not 100% certain, but i think just about all the 100mm MAF's out there use a LS3 style MAF in a machined housing, hence the adapter cables that come with them because the MAF and IAT are in the same sensor.

You could definately see some gains with that lid and MAF combo.

I would just go with cheapest you can find because there all going to work the same.

Here's the PowrMaf for $225.

my guess would be you'll need a whole new tune.

some of those maf's really require new tables (v/e).

i've thrown around doing a 100mm lid/100mm maf upgrade, and do before/after dyno runs (much like my FAST). just to see what it would be worth on a cam only setup.

You'll have to have a tune, but not the entire thing if you've already been tuned, just the MAF tables.

why are you considering going back to a MAF setup once you switched to SD? the reason im asking is because im considering switching to SD.

i haven't actually done it yet. I sold all my old parts for the new build, then sold my TSP 100mm MAF in favor of other parts, thinking that i would go the SD route. Now, the build is almost finished and i'm contemplating whether or not to pick up another MAF. the SD vs. MAF argument never seems to get anywhere. half the people say MAF is best and the other half say SD is superior. I don't see how SD could be any better if the MAF isn't a choke in your intake tract. i'll have a 104mm lid, 100mm MAF, and a 92mm TB...what difference would it make either way, right?

This is a 100mm MAF. So will that powermax 103.5mm fit FastToys 104mm lid? Just from the looks of it looks like the 104mm lid is a perfect fit for something like a 100mm TSP MAF. Also what goes between the 100mm MAF and 92mm TB to make them mate? What is everyone using?

Well the PowrMaf wont slide in since the LID ID is 104 mm and the MAF OD is 106 mm. If you buy it from PowrMaf it comes with 2 silicone adapters and the TSP MAF comes with 1 adapter. So one adapter between the Lid and MAF then the other adapter between MAF and TB. The only real difference in price from the TSP MAF is the shipping cost unless you live here in Texas then there will be tax also.

Are those flexible or only fit a certain size TB?

Adapters? Yes. If you look at the slideshow on page 5 it shows the adapters.

By itself probably not much. I'm wanting one for when I get a 92/92. For the same reason I'll upgrade the catback when I get headers. I want to keep the piping all the same. No reason to keep one piece of pipe smaller then the rest. What's the point of a 92mm TB if it is getting air through a 75mm MAF or even upgraded 85mm MAF? Anything less then 92mm doesn't make sense to me.

Agree Even if you port your stock tb it becomes bigger then the stock maf. even a 85 mm maf will help with the stock tb. Now when you get a 92mm tb as in the fast, anything smaller then that is a restriction before the tb. It may not be much if you already have a 85mm maf/fast toys lid, but is there is a few pony's to be had, then why not do it?
