Default New exhaust on the way!

Just placed my order for the LPP Headers and their TDs. Going from SLP LT's and Y-pipe, Borla, cutout after Y to the LPP system. Not planning on jumping on the install immediately, too cold right now. Plan on reusing my bolts and gaskets just need to know where to get a few of the good band clamps? Will be updating with pics while doing the install.

Hope you are going to get some vids whenever you do the install. I am seriously considering replacing my LM1 with the LPP setup. Good luck with it.

Yeah I will get some vids as well.

Thanks, hope the install goes as good, OR BETTER, as the SLP went.

I just installed the LPP headers and catted y. See link below, YOu can get the 3" band clamps at Napa, $12 a piece. Any questions let me know. I went with them for the price, $965 with new stage 8 bolts, metal gaskets and 02 extentions. It was like $700 cheaper than ARH. Hopefully it will put down some decent numbers with them.

Thanks for the info on the clamps. Hopefully will only need 2.

Yeah for the price and seemingly great quality and fitment of these you can't beat them. I got headers and true duals for $675 shipped. they are running a x-mas special right. so lucked into that. How long did it take for you to get your exhaust?

I believe it took about 10 days. The sale made it take longer. Lamonte performance parts , do a google search, they have a pretty good deal going on, they advertised it on this site.

You will should only need 2 clamps with the duals.

Let us know how they fit

Sweet98SS

How high did you have to get the front of the car to get these in?

I had the car 17" high from the bottom of the car on the side. They slid right in. Basically I had some huge jackstands, 6 ton I believe, and had them up like 2 notches. i probably could have gotten them in with it lower. I did the tranny at the same time so I had it high. Do the motor mounts while your in there and anything else you can think of like plugs and wires.

Yeah I think mine should be high enough. Got the front tires on stock wheels with jack stands on frame (just in case) Car is 20" hight. Actually started tonight. Got the Catback out. OMGPITA! I went through 2 sawzaw blades trying to cut through the stainless steal. Took about 1 1/2 hours to get it cut. Blades sucked and had to use a combination w/ a dremel. LOL.. So if everything else goes better than that should be smooth sailing.

Was debating on whether or not to do motor mounts. Told my wife I shouldn't need anything else for the car for awhile. She has been very good about everything so I am trying not to push it or she might my azz. Spent way too much on it this year. My other system never touched anything so was going to try and get by without them. However, where can I get some for a reasonable price? Just in case!
