I had the same problem when I first installed them when I had hooker headers. My driver side header was hitting my floor board. I had to heat up the header collector and bend it down a little bit. The added benefit to me was that it gave me better oil pan clearance. I had broken one before after my sportline drop kit and now that it raised up the engine I had no more problems. Well, Before I sold that car I removed them and installed them on my other z28 and I installed kooks headers and had no issues with the floor boards. I guess it's the brand of header you buy. As for the bolts coming loose I have never had this problem as I tighten the crap out of them. I do love the added reaction of the car and especially after I went with the poly trans mount.

No problems on the set I installed a few weeks back. They are Grot headers though. I highly recommend using loctite on all the bolts as well.

I don't understand why they would make these to raise the motor at all? I have these and have not installed my motor yet. I am getting ready to buy headers soon and don't know which ones to buy if I'm going to have clearance issues???

I have Spohn's and Grot's. I do believe it raised the driverside slightly but it didn't effect anything.

it does raise the motor an inch, i believe it even says it on the spohn website... the only header ive heard that have problems are the Hookers. My pacesetters and TSP headers were fine with them

I don't see why anyone would want the motor raised unless the car is lowered or something. Its a pain in the *** enough to work on under the cowl as it is. Plus raising the center of gravity... Seems odd? Someone enlighten me please?

i didnt see a diff. in height when i installed my solids. they were slightly taller when i stood them next to eachother but thats also because the stock mounts were pretty worn out. so they should be same height as stockers would be when they are brand new.

i have tsp headers and they fit fine. only time the hit the floor a little was when i had the lift the motor to get the driver side mount it.

Are these the spohn mounts I need?
http://speed-eng.com/store/spohn-tub...ts-p-3038.html

I'm having problems with my LPP header on the driver side hitting the motor mount and preventing me from lining up the bolts.
