Mine like Powell's car picked up a ton of power after i switched the elbow out for the 4150 throttle body, night and day difference.

As long as you get the throttle body with the GM Delphi sensors it will be a plug and play setup. Powell and another friend of ours has the accufab and i have the edelbrock TB and all of them are plug and play.

What would be better on a Super Vic JR intake, a 92mm tb that i already have or a 4150 tb?

im sure you could pick up from a 4150, maybe a 4500 with a 4150 adapter depending on your setup, i think it would be too much air for me but i dunno.

I wanna bring this back from the dead.. there are alot of ppl starting to run the 4150 style setup.. i think im gonna get the Edelbrock throttle body with the Delphi/GM IAC provision.. cuz i can get it for about 400$ through my friend minus shipping.

I hope to pick up quite a bit off this throttle body and a SD tune.. Maybe port the intake a little..

I'm not sure but you should definitely do a Back-2-Back Dyno and let us all know

Yeah i agree with InsaneDomestics!! It should be worth alot esp on a 408 with stock parts on it! I cant wait to do it.. i know that elbow is killin me.. just hoping i get enough back from taxes to buy the TB, and tune it.. Hopefully buy the blow through hat and the two elbows to hook it to the air box lid.. Should be pretty sweet!

Do you plan on changing cams to take advantage of the single plane intake???

so i guess there is no way it would fit under a SS hood even if it is cut and chop on.

Go back and look at my pics link, I have a flat VFN hood, I think an SS hood is higher than a flat VFN hood. All you will have to remove is the rear most underhood bracing in the middle to clear the carb hat.

What are the part numbers for the throttle cable and throttle bracket you are using for these 4150 tb's? also will the fast 1350 tb work? I have an ls6 now but i have a victor jr. on order and want to run a 4150 tb on it. what all will i need to make it work?

bpowell hasn't posted anything anywhere on LS1tech.com in almost a year, I think he's gone.

I'm still wondering, nobody ever responded to my question, posted twice. Surely, somebody knows?

The setup shown above has a four barrel throttle body between the elbow and the intake manifold.

The other way to do it is the elbow directly on the manifold with a stock style throttle body in the inlet tube just after the air filter.

Which method is better, or produces more power?
