Default Gains large MAF and large lid?

So I have a 96/96 and was wondering how much gain is typical if you go to the large MAF's and lids? Whats the hot combo?

i'm interested as well.

i'd like to do a apples-to-apples comparison when i get the money.

planning a 100mm lid and then the truck maf....do a few runs to confirm A/F...swap the parts and retune for the maf...then a few more runs.

if i get really crazy i want to do it with and without heads....really depends on if the shop wants to deal with the hassle.

I was also thinking of going with a ftp 104mm and a100 mm maf with my 396 stroker. Its currently speed density tuned. good or bad idea?

if its on speed density why put a maf in at all?

o ur gonna get it retuned, i thought you meant you were gonna leave it on speed density and throw a maf on there. i got ya now, sounds like a good way to go, im on maf and buddy is on SD and when its cold my car def starts up easier and runs smoother imo

We've done some testing and also had lots of customers report back.

When switching from a a stock outlet sized aftermarket lid with a stock MAF to an 85mm decreened MAF and 98mm air lid, we saw .9 MPH increase in the 1/4 mile on the same day.

That was a car with a mid cam, no head work and all the usual bolt ons.

We've had a # of customers with head/cam/stroker motors report 1.2-1.3 MPH increases.
