How to pull the Water Pump Pulley?

Default How to pull the Water Pump Pulley?

How do I pull the WP Pulley? Is it possible? Wanted to paint or powdercoat it.

If it's a later style water pump, then it has to be pressed on and off, if it's a earlier style pump (98-2000) then it bolts right off. The belt shouldn't affect the finish as my pulley is chromed and has been that way for a few years now with no issues.

if you paint it, the belt will wear it off where it rides, but it wont affect any other areas. i imagine if you powder coat it, it wont hurt it.

haha its actually the AIR/EGR kit from texasautocraft.com. its a plate with a rubber expansion plug. the nut on top is to tighten the plug for a snug fit
