You don't get it. It doesn't matter WHO it was, a member, a previous sponsor, ANYONE gets caught back door selling stuff on here you're gone. Doesn't matter if it's insurance, car parts, reality, etc. Try to back door sell stuff/services, you're out.

And ANY sponsor that elects to stop being a sponsor, that gets caught will get the same treatment.

You can try to argue this all day long, but there's nothing to argue. I don't care who it is, gene fulton comes on here and starts trying to back door sell he'll get banned as fast as Tlewis did, hell John force tried to sell stuff in here back door style and he's get the boot too, it's a simple forum/site rule and Tlewis was not follownig it.

Period. If you don't like it, don't come on the site anymore. Simple.

Guys and gals, the rules are what they are. The have been made for a reason. Please don't jump on the Mods for enforcing them, they are only doing their job and don't get paid to do it.

If you have some questions or need tech help on the catch cans contact me and I will take care of it. Tracy is on my speed dial and has asked that I channel any questions so he can answer them.

Tech is a great site and we have great mods who volunteer their services to keep this site what it should be. Kudos to them for doing an excellent thankless job

Question: Excuse the newbieness question but wouldn't oil in the intake charge cause smoking from exhaust?

Yes it does, but it's not really noticable unless you have your foot to the floor. That's when the airflow is high enough to actually pick the oil up and carry it into the intake charge... and it's also thw worst case situation because that's when the pre-ignition can do the most damage under WOT load.

Yes, there is smoke as posted above.

If you've ever had your car on a dyno in a garage there is plenty of smoke.

Mostly visible because the car is not moving.

Wow, I should have taken care of that back-door solicitation before this turned into a monster thread.

im gunna have to agree with JL-WS6 on the pcv vs. open breather setup. heres just some bullet points on my expierences

-march '09- I pulled intake with~68k miles to swap in a weiand. i could of tipped over my stock intake throttle body side down and collected 6 ounces of oil. (stock pcv). ls1 intake was but on the side and a freshly cleaned weiand was put in its place
-may '09- pulled intake in order to proceed with my head swap. the inside of my intake was coated with oil
-june '09- head swap completed; now running breathers in both valve covers
-jan '10- pulled intake to change out a faulty OPSU. the inside of my intake was spotless. Only thing noticeable was some carbon build up on the intake runners on the head. ( i hope thats nothing to worry about )
