2 cut-outs at the collectors??????????????
What gains would I see if I installed 2 electric cut-outs where my RT cats are, basically immediately after my collectors? And yes, while they're open

Being that you are running cats even though they are gutted i would say you could probably pick up anywhere between 10-15rwhp. There was a guy a while back that posted dyno comparisons between the dual cutouts and his full exhaust. I don't recall what catback he had but he did have cats and if i remember correctly i beleive he gained about 20rwhp and this was on a H/C car. If you do go with the cutouts they need to be about 12-15in. behind the collectors for best results.

What would happen if they were just opened for a race and then shut right after?

Its definitely worth the money to do it for 20 RWHP. Maybe I'll do it than.
