Jack up the car as high as possible. Remove spark plugs, alllows headers to slide in/out easier. FLP's should drop right in. Good luck.

Well we just got done putting the headers on and my dad has a lift at his shop. We found out you dont have to take the spark plugs out but you might as well while your down there. And the headers slide right in there with a little wiggling. If you dont have access to a lift then the install is much harder. And you need a partner to help you. If it is a 2000 you have to disconnect the egr. And i think that is it but i will post more if i think of more

Wish I had LS1 edit and I would just do away with the damn egr crap. Did you have any problems getting the stock pipes out?

The stock pipes came right out.
the only problem was i did'nt remove the o2 sensor fron the left side manifold and had to do that with the manifold loose. The installation was easy on a lift
because we were able to raise and lower the car at will. One hint though do not tighten any clamps till you have everything in place. We have the GMMG cat back system and had to cut the straight pipe about 4 inches. I left the cross brace below the Y pipe off because it was going to hit and posted to everyone if this is normal. If not I will make a better cross brace that curves around the pipe. I can't see this brace doing anything because it is real thin.
We ordered the system for the 2000 with egr and ended up taking the system off and blocking the air tubes. used a 1 3/8 expandible freeze plug for the intake hole. Will order the plates later. And yes the system set a code as soon as we started it, one more trip to M.T.I. We are running with the cats on because it is loud enough. The only thing else we needed was the FACTORY exhaust gaskets and a 12 inch 02 extension for the left side.

Sad but true we live about 15 minutes away. We were on the Hot rod power tour last year and I was thinking how great it would be to live in a state that had someone like Berger, Gmmg etc and found MTi just down the road.
