You will need O2 extensions and some OEM gaskets (GM part# 12558573). Some people re-use their OEM gaskets but they are inexpensive and in my opinion worth replacing. You will also need O2 simms in place of the O2 sensors otherwise you'll throw an SES light. The SES light (codes) won't affect performance, it's just more of a nuisance.

just want to clarify that you need the sims for the rear sensors only. seems like common knowledge but after that thread a few weeks ago i guess its not.

I just looked at Texas Speed and Performance's websight and they sell the 02 Simmulators in a pair at $89.99 and the 24'' 02 extension sold individually at $25, but i would have to buy two 02 extensions right? and is this all i have to buy besides the headers and y pipe? thanx alot.

I will get beat up foir this, but i say play it safe and do the ARP header bolts, i like to do it right the first time and have no worries. I like the NGK plugs, i run the TR6's because i spray. The TR5's are great if your not spraying. The reason i said do the plugs is, its a great time to get to them easy. Regardless have some on hand. They break easy during header installs. Also pay close attention to the coolant sensor. It is fragile as well. I am to the point that i keep a coolant sensor(header install)and oil pressure sensor(intake install) in the tool box. Both are fragile, hang around enough LS1's and you will see..

Are you going to get a catted y-pipe or ORY? If you get a catted y you don' t need to O2 simms. If I am wrong someone correct me.

High flow cats will still set off an SES light. I run magnaflow high flow cats and have rear 02 sims. You just have to find a set of block offs for the 2 rear 02 bungs. You can either find the size 18mm block offs, or re-install your stock 02 sensors, and leave them unplugged.

a list of what, tools?

as stated by your ealier post you'll need gaskets (can re-use your old ones, or get new metal ones), stock bolts can be reused, o2 extensions for the front, and sims for the rear if you dont want an SES light. the FLP setup requires that o2 bungs be welded on i believe, check up on it.

as far as tools just basic hand tools and sockets (8mm, 10mm, 15mm, ect), jack/jack stands, breaker bar (helpful), sawzal (sp) (also helpful).
