How 'loud' are these catbacks?
How loud are the Hooker and Mac catbacks? I like how both sound, but don't want too quiet. I checked out youtube and LS1sounds, but cant tell how loud each of them are.
Also, how is the dynomax bullet exhaust? Seems like just a small resonator and no muff (like the loudmouth)
Is the SLP loudmouth just MUCH louder?
Again, not asking about tone, just volume.

A Hooker is about the quietest catback out there if your stock. However with LTs it also gets pretty loud especially if your not running cats. My Hooker catback has a rattle inside the muffler so I can't sing its praises either.

TIMMY, go magnaflow and headers
and above comment is right, anything with headers is loud. Loudmouth sounds better on LT1 IMO.
Or go MAC midlength headers and magnaflow, that should sound nice

If you're sticking with stock manifolds and cats, then GMMG fits your bill but expensive. The Flowmaster 80 catback gets a bad rap on here for not flowing as well as others, but it sounds great on manifolds and cats.
If LT's are in your future, I like the Hooker best. It will be quiet with manifolds, but great with headers. I like the Hooker catback better than Magnaflow, because I don't like the Magnaflow tips.

Of the choices you gave I'd go with the hooker, however I'd have to say that the magnaflow or gmmg (if budget allows) has to be the best for these cars with or without headers...imo. I just put a Loudmouth 2 on my car a few weeks ago and at idle and wot it sounded great. Anywhere in between it sounded "okay" but had an odd tone to it. So out of curiosity I let the wife drive it while I followed behind in her truck. My car sounded like a damn 70 model truck with straight pipes. I pulled it off the same day! I've herd several cars with magnaflow kits and was going to buy one originally but I was cheap trying to save a buck with the LM2. Oh well, if I could do it again I wouldn't have ever sold the gmmg I had on my LT1 car. We live and learn.

MAC catback...sounds awesome on mustangs, but the Mustangs sound incredible as it is. Anyone run this piece?

Detoxx why you hating man. lol I think you've about had every exhaust on the planet bu I love my GMMG before when I had Kook's LT's and Catted Y to the GMMG CB. Now I really love it since I cut part of the Y out and put a X-pipe in and mated to my GMMG CB.
