Default NGK TR55 or NGK TR55IX Spark Plugs

Why do more people run the cheaper plug over the Iridium plug? Is the Iridium plug not a better product that will last much longer?

The Iridiums are great, I fouled out three while tuning and they covered them under warranty.

Designed to last 100,000 miles. The regular 55's are good to and cost less.

I think people run the regular ones b/c $1.50 vs. $11 a plug.
