Default E-Cutouts

Hey guys, I'm going to be picking up a couple of electric cutouts to put right behind my headers... Trying to quiet the car down w/ a stock muffler, but I want to be able to be loud when I feel like it
My question is, what E Cutouts do you have, how do you like them? And how do you have your switches set up inside?
If anyone has a wiring diagram, that'd be nice too, just for a quick reference. I'm sure they're fairly easy to wire.
Also, how much did you pay for them? The QTPs are kind of pricey... I'm not on a budget, but I just want to see what's out there.

I just put on a Racelandusa E cutout. Its a 3 inch cutout mounted on the I pipe. Cool thing is, it is wireless...I ran power to the cutout and I stuck the receiver under the passenger seat..only bad thing about the cutout is where it draws power..cig lighter . I will be cutting that off and hardwiring it to the back of the lighter socket.

If you want to run dual cutouts behind the headers i would recommend QTPs Oval Cutouts. Aint much room for the standard round ones up front. If ya wanted to run a single then a single 3" round will work just find.

Right on man. Thanks for the info. I'm going to do dual cutouts behind the headers for sure, the car made it's best power on open headers.

Orangepeel, you da man! Thanks for the pics... You have anymore? (I know you don't have the car anymore) I'd like to see where you had the switches set up. I'm thinking I'll have a custom switch panel made to fit in the ashtray or little holder in front of the shifter w/ my cutouts and nitrous switches... Can't seem to remember the screenname of the guy who makes them on here...

DMH is the way to go in my opinion. My cutout started to rattle after about 5 months I called them up and they sent me a new one with no problems whatsoever.

You have pics of the DMH? I'll probably be going w/ QTP, but I'd like to get a view of the DMH as well.

RaceReady here.. I only have one and it's behind the passenger seat. I have the switch on the right side, under the steering wheel on that panel where your knees can hit. It's hidden there, but if I could go back and do it again, I would probably wire it up to the TCS switch since I don't have TCS anymore.. LOL.. Anyway, my wire runs over the tunnel (under the dash) and then out the passenger side grommet in the floor that is there to remove in case the car is holding water.

I'm lookin to buy a QTP Oval too just because I'm extremely phobic about clearance (which is why it's taken so many years just to consider LTs). So far, though, the only Oval pics I've seen have been in the bends of the Y-Pipe, but I wanted to see if I could put it on the I-pipe somewhere.

Anyone know if it's possible to have the Oval put right on the i-pipe just before it curves up for the axle? Any potential problems with doing that, or does anyone know of a good place on the I-pipe? I just don't want to have to buy 2 oval cutouts for the Y and I also don't want to just have an Oval on just one side of the Y...sorry OCD.

I know this is a stupid question but I am trying to learn. Do you have to run dual cutouts? Can you run a single and will the single still be loud?
