I would totally rock it though!
Ron told me he sent the intake to his body shop guy and said to just do something really cool and different to it. This is the result. It fades from black to metal flake red. No way I could ever afford to do a custom paint job on the car to match how this intake turned out. And yes, I agree with the assessment of Rob's photographic abilities. I'm heading over there later today and I'll try to get him to take a picture of it outside in the sun. Maybe that will do it justice. I wish everyone could see this intake in person as the pics so far make me want to cry.

Were the places where lines and injectors go not masked off from paint getting in there? I just used POR-15 but I did keep all critical spots free of paint.

Nothing masked off but I don't foresee it being a problem. I'll post up if it ends up being one.

Nice Work. Ron's one of the last Good ole' boys that goes above and beyond.

What was the impression of the the portwork, and did Ron re touch the portwork of the intake?

He was going to but since I needed the intake back to get the car running again he just went ahead and sent it back to me. Once I get the car over to him for evaluation of the turbo kit and tuning, he's going to pull the intake and do a complete port or just touch up work in my case. When it leaves it's going to have all the work Vengeance normally does on the intake. He hasn't quoted me a price on that but I doubt if he'll let me pay him anything for doing it. Maybe he'll let me buy dinner for everyone, who knows? I can't say enough good things about Ron. He's a southern gentleman for sure.
