Default My car is ticking after Pace Setter install

After my eventful Pace Setter install, my car is making a noticeable ticking noise. You can barely hear it when you open the hood and look at the engine. However if you get down and listen under the car, near the transmission you can hear it pretty well, ideas?

Hmm I have the same exact thing. Didn't really take a big look into yet tho since I've been busy. I tightened down my header bolts and its not misfireing, you can't hear it from the engine bay but you can from the side/under the car. Mine seems to be coming more from the passanger side.

*Oh yea I also have the complete AIR and EGR system taken out of my car.

did u use band clamps on the slip fits? if so its probably an exhaust leak and you should get them welded

I have the same exact thing. I'm beginning to think it's normal and nothing wrong with the car. I took it to an exhaust shop and they couldn't find leeaks anywhere. My exhaust is welded all the way back, so it's not clamps or anything. You are the 4th person I hear this ticking from. Hmmmm....

Seems weird it'd make a metallic ticking noise, rather than a hissing or something if it was a leak. I didn't touch the AIR actually. I used the band clamps. It didn't do this before headers for sure.

Headers tick, thats just a normal thing. But you can always check AIR check valves, and all gasket points.

I think you can just hear things better with the headers. Mine ticks also. I think its just the "header" sound. I've heard other cars that do it also.
