02' Z

There is no ****** WAY to get the brake booster hose over the sensor. No way in HELL!! I hear people saying all the time "swapped my OPS in an hour, you just gotta be careful putting it back in. Just takes a little work"
Bull ****** ****!
You bastards are liars and will all end up in HELL!

I dont have large hands at all, and there is no possible way to get my hand back there to get the hose over the sensor. The intake wont go up enough to get it "over" the sensor, it hits under the wiper blades.

Seriously, there has to be another way to do this.

Does ANYONE have ANY ideas on how to get the intake back on without breaking the sensor?

Just reach around the right side. Grab the hose and carefully move it around the opsu. It will work if you take your time and be very carefull.

You must be a 6yr old starving asian girl.

There isnt enough room on the right side to get air through.

Anyhow. I got it on, im not sure if I got it over the sensor or not.
All I do know, is that its running, running good, and has oil pressure.

On a side note, if a man offers me 1 million dollard to swap out a OPS, im shooting that SOB on sight, because it just aint enough money.

Quit bein a ***** and get in there and do it. I've removed and installed my Intake many times without breaking anything, it's not by any means hard.

All ya gotta do is slightly lift the intake and slowly swing the front end toward the driver side fender. While doing that, slowly pull the intake out from under the cowl and lift the hose over the OPSU. Works like a charm!

I don't understand what the problem is with the oil pressure sending unit interfering with intake removal. I replaced the intake gaskets two weeks ago and was worried about it after reading threads like this, but the unit isn't in the way at all. Unless you just aggressively pull the intake forward and to the side.

Really, I can have my manifold sitting on the ground in 15 mins. I have never broke that sensor. You just have to be careful when you put the manifold back on.

I've removed and replaced them before, I just pull the brake booster line off before removing the intake, and do not even know how you would break it. Maybe the 98 cars are different? I know there is less AIR system junk on the drivers side to get in the way on the 98 cars.
