So is marijuana but since our state legalized I haven't seen anyone charged.

That was my point exactly. They are not legal anywhere, but depending on what if any smog check your state requires, you may be able to get away with them. CA just sucks!

Yea, Californian here...not only do we have strict *** emissions here (although it does depend on thorough the tech is) but they have raised taxes on us again.

Not to digress. I don't think it's practical to change exhaust systems each time to pass smog. As others suggest, just "get" around it. In car clubs all around CA, there will be creative people who know creative people.

Hope that helps.

I had the idea of people in our positions paying certain fees (not outrageous ones), that way we win and so does the state. Like was said before, damn political tree hugging idiots. I mean, one should be environmentally aware but to a certain point-if that makes sense...depose of oil and coolant properly and you are good.

Trust me, its not that great. I've been to most of the big cities. Materialism and shallowness in all its glory...

God forbid a couple car guys put LTs on their car and make some extra emissions on cars that are typically not a daily driver. Even when Polosi flys her JET from DC to SF EVERY WEEKEND!!!!
