Which spark plugs do you reccomend and why?
I was going to buy a set of stock delco plugs to replace the ones that are currently in the car unless there is a better plug out there. I found on a search a lot of people using NGK TR55's (i think) and I see some people useing D3's
what do you reccomend?

TR 55's and if your doing FI or Nitrous TR6's. I have tried every plug out there and I can say with an amount of certainty, that the NGK product is the best out there for the LSx base engine.

Like they said, make sure you choose the right plug for your setup: N/A (TR55) or blown\tubbed (TR6). I also like the IX (iridium) plugs, because they have a thin wire contact that allows better flame propagation.

This is what i've been told by guys i know with LS engines running juice. The BR6s are great with nitrous; but they aren't so great when you're driving around and NOT spraying... That's why alot of people recommend the TR6s because they're great driving around without juice, but they handle spray really well... just not that many runs. So you end up having to change them out so often.
So it's just a matter of what you plan on doing. Driving alot with the "occasional" spray? TR6s will be ok, just check/change them periodically. Driving around only looking to spray everyone you see in sight? BR6s is what you need.
If non of this applies to you, you are just bolt on/cam etc, TR55 or TR56s should be fine. I have TR56s on my cammed LS1; runs great, no ill effects, plugs look good after giving it hell for 3 months. But i do want to see how the TR55 iridiums fare; several people i know seem to prefer them

They are less than 1/2 the price of Iridiums.

I don't know because right now out of the 300+ members 10% of the cars that are part of our car club run juice to include myself. We are all using tr6's and to date no issues. But then again I could be wrong.

And OP, like it was already stated if your not spraying then dont worry about any of this and go get yourself some TR55's.
