Default Thinking of LS6 intake, worth it?

I see alot of folks on here selling LS6 intakes, would it be worth it to add this mod to my firehawk? How much horse could it add to a basically stock hawk with just a tsp lid?

if youre planning on adding headers, cam, heads ect later on youll benefit from this mod.if not dont bother, you wont gain much on a stock or lightly modded ls1.

you wont get the most out of it until you add the big mods, still worth having though.

I put mine on after I installed cam/headers & really couldn't tell that big of a difference... Hopefully when I get the heads back & installed, the intake will better compliment the rest of the mods..

Anytime you can get more airflow into the engine do it, the LS6 intake will do that for you.

it's worth about 7 - 10 hp on a bolton car. No more a waste of money than those buying headers.

I have it from the factory on my 02 and I think there is a difference. I'm working to get my intake to flow really good. I have raced a descent amount of cars in the past and have beat a lot of them. Just like some of dedicators have said, if you are looking to do big future mods to your car, it's worth it!!! Remember, mods are kind of like numbers, they add up.

Its a good proven mod. 2001 and up cars definitely benefit from the better intake, you will too. And as said before, it will help long term also with other mods.

Tommy

PS Every mod could be considered a waste of money... just ask my wife
