Default can you reverse coil packs?

if i reverse the coil packs when i put them on the spark plugs, will that mess stuff up? i took my coil packs off the bracket when i relocated them. now the car cranks but wont fire. im thinking i may have them switched.

so if its supposed to be:

1 2 3 4

and i have it

4 3 2 1

would that cause things not to work right?

Sort of lost. Do you mean the coils it self are not in the right location (meaning coil pack 1 is now coil pack 4 going to piston 4) or you have plug wires going to wrong locations?

If wires going to incorrect pistons then yes it will cause an issue.

No you have a issue. Reroute the wiring to correct pistons.

may run but run like **** throwing codes left and right but my true guess is it will not start as the piston expecting a spark is not getting it.
