Default Bolt-On Est. Horsepower?

I was looking for an estimate on the HP ratings of my car, and I assumed a lot of you guys have something similar to my setup (or used to) and could help me out. And if you have a est 1/4 time that would be cool too.

1998 SS Camaro M6 Hardtop

Intake:
-SLP CAI
-Blackwing Filter
-SLP Lid
-Smooth bellows
-MAF descreened (previous owner)

Exhaust:
-Hooker Comp LT
-ORY
-SLP Loudmouth 2 catback

Transmission:
-Fidanza Flywheel (Aluminum)
-Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch
-B&M Ripper

Stock rearend
Street tires

And any suggestions on future mods? I'm looking at getting the TB ported and a ls6 intake. Maybe an underdrive pulley. And eventually a tune.

Thanks in advance

You can see my LS1 numbers in my sig; we have similar bolt ons. I'd put a screen back in the MAF, and agree with getting an LS6 intake. Also, getting some taller gears will make the car a lot quicker; you'll be amazed. You can pick up 20+ HP from a good tune.

Buddy of mine had very similar mods (but an auto transmission) and put down 341hp at the wheels with a tune. That being said, the tuner (who sees a lot of f-bodies) said that was the highest he had seen with those sorts of mods.

In an auto with full bolt ons its around 335-340hp on an m6 typical is around 350 i think but ive seen 360 once or twice but that could have been a happy dyno...

I have SLP Lid, Descreened MAF, Ported TB, smooth bellows, Pacesetter LT headers, custom ORY, Magnaflow cat-back, untuned, stock trans with a pro 5.0, stock rear and suspension, and on a nitto DR I ran 12.7@108. I just installed ls6 intake and will see what I run this weekend. My car is a t-top car though.

I never dynoed my car so I dunno what im putting down.

Check my sig for details, im putting headers and exhaust on right now, so ill find out what i put down this summer, and ill hopefully get some track times next month. My last track time and dyno numbers were with sportlines and running street tires on Y2K rims. i should be putting down 350-360 easy with a tune after the exhaust is put on.

Full bolt on M6's run high 12's with street tires (maybe 12.9-12.7) and mid to low 12's with DR's (12.6-as low as 12 flat). Couple guys on tech I know have ran 12 flat with full bolt ons, some weight taken out, and DR's. For your M6 you'll be looking at around 355rwhp after your ported TB, LS6 Intake and tune. I'm not sure what you'll be trapping but with a CAI, Lid, descreened maf, bellow, ported TB, and catback I was trapping 111mph and pulling 13.2's with street tires at sea level in Sacramento. I now have an LS6 intake, Long tube Headers, and a tune. Probably could trap around 113-114ish and pull a 12.8 or 12.9 now and 12.3-12.6 with Dr's.

why? and its shorter, not taller.

To the OP.... You are probably in the 340 range. If you do all those things with a LS6 intake and a tune you could probably see 36x. And as stated above should be in the 12's, at which end of the 12's depends on your tires and driving

Put the screen back in? It doesn't pop in and out. You have to cut it out in peices.

You're right about shorter (I was thinking 4.10's like mine); I thought more mechanical advantage considered taller, and got it backwards.

The screen suggestion was because I originally assumed it was also a DD; descreened does flow a lot more air though. My MAF screen has save my engine from all finds of crap; I found a huge feather stuck in it once that must have shot through the K&N filter at just the right angle...

Thanks for all the responses.

It is a DD but the original owner descreened the MAF so I would have to fab something up myself. I'm confident in my filter though.

And any runs I will be doing will be with street tires, cause I definitely don't have the cash for a rearend. Not now anyways.

And as for driving, I've been racing in SCCA since before I had my license and My first car and my current car are M6's and I spent plenty of time practicing reaction and take offs. haha

A little off topic, but did you guys with aftermarket y-pipes have any trouble getting the Driveshaft Safety Loop back on the car? Mine is a hooker ORY btw
