Do I need O2 extnensions?
Just like the title says. I did a search but didnt find anything concrete. I am buying pacesetter longtubes and ORY today and was wondering if i need to dish out $40 for O2 extensions. I have heard of some people tuning out the rear O2 sensors completely. If i deleted the rear O2s does that mean that I would not need the extensions? Im just trying not to waste money.

You need the o2 extensions for the front.
Not sure what lengths.
I recently did my header install, and I swapped out some pins on the PCM. So, now the pcm sees the rear o2 connections as front o2s

Assuming its for your 98. Heres a link on how he went about doing the pin swap.

Here is the setup of how your pcm is wired.

Its like a 5 minute job.
o2 extensions wont be necessary if you do this. Since the rear o2 connections are near the o2 bungs on your LT headers.

I just bought Pacesetter/TSP Y combo from TSP and it says that it comes with "wire to manually extend the front O2 sensor via cutting and splicing." I don't know how hard this is, but I'm definitely going to give the Rear O2 conversion a try.

i just did my headers this past weekend. i got the bosch 3111 oxygen sensors and havent had any probems and they are plenty long i had to actually zip tie some of it cause they were so long. as for the rear o2's you can jus have them tuned out if you get a dyno tune thats what im doing.
