Default What catbacks drone the least?

I've been looking at a few different catbacks for my daily driver. I'm keeping to a pretty tight budget for the time being so I was thinking of getting a MAC catback. Not many people seem to have it but those who do have said that it sounds great. My concern is that it will "drone" bad on the highway, as that is part of my commute. I don't want that pulsating drone pounding into my brain while cruising at 65. Any suggestions?

Also, I'm looking at the TSP Rumbler as well, but I'm conerned that it might be too loud. I'm looking for a deep rumble, louder than magnaflow, but nothing that sounds like an offroad pipe with a Loudmouth on it. I do like the sound of the Rumber, though. I'll be keeping my stock cats and headers for a bit so I'm not worried about it getting louder down the road at this point.

I've listened to it and I liked the sound, but after reading a few threads on here, it seemed that quite a few members found it to be too quiet.

I went ahead and ordered the MAC, I will report back after the install. Thanks for the input. I figured that I'd just go for it.

It turned out that the MAC setup was on back order so I went ahead with the Hooker. Seems like it might fit my application well. Not too loud, but a nice rumble at idle.

I went from LM1 to the Hooker and am pretty happy. Seems a little too quiet but I'll take it after how obnoxious it was before. Plus once I throw a cam in, it will wake it back up.

Thanks for the input everyone. I have a feeling that I'll wish it was a little louder, but I really like the sound of the Hooker. At least now when I retire the car from daily driving I'll be able to add LTs and not go overboard as far as noise goes.

That's for sure. Almost too quiet stock motor but throw on LT's and a cam and it screams

Just got my hooker catback on today along with a kooks catted y and I love the sound. It is much quieter than before but is still not that quiet. An aggressive setup H/C/I ls1 is gonna be loud no matter what kind of exhaust you have.
Put it this way it is nighttime safe. The exhaust gets very loud after about 2500rpm but stays deep, there is no drone or rasp anywhere in the rpm.

Sounds good. Mike at WS6store has one in the mail for me already. I will report back with results.
