Default Those with true duals and 1 chamber flowmasters?

It's come down to almost being forced to get these mufflers if I want to go true duals for ground clearance reasons. Either 1 chamber flowmasters or bullets, which I already know how they sound. I need to know how the 1 chamber flowmasters sound inside and outside the car. I really don't want it loud at all in the car at cruise but it can be as loud as hell at wot. I drive on the interstate(70-80mph) for 2 hours in 6th gear often and can't have any resonance or loudness in that rpm range on the hwy. I've heard the sound clips of country boy's and they sounded great, but that doesn't give me an idea of how it sounds at low rpm under load.

Ill tell you this... At 80 MPH in 6th, its as quiet as stock, but right ~2300 rpm under load (accelerating) the drone is BAD, I mean cant hear anything bad.. The way I see it is that Im only in the drone area for a second or 2 at most so it doesnt bother me.

I cant comment on the outside sound as Im the only person who drives my car

I believe the Bullets drone also.

I fugured there'd be drone but as long as it's not in the rpm range that I have to drive in on long trips it should be ok. What does it sound like in 5th gear from 45-65mph under load? I drive at those speeds a lot too. Sorry for all the questions, but it's my daily driver and I don't want to get stuck with a droning exhaust on the longer trips. I might still end up getting Edelbrock mufflers or some kind of real muffler if the droning is going to come back at my cruising rpms.

I have cats in my system and it drones around 2000 rpm. It's not so loud that the radio cant drown it out though; but you have to have the radio LOUD.

I dont think youre going to avoid the drone no matter what exhaust you get

Honestly I cant tell you what it sounds like at those speeds in 5th.... I havent driven the car in about 2 months or more. I had to tear the motor down so I dont remember

I'm still searching for a way since I've had the drone before and couldn't stand it in 5th and 6th gear after a month. I'm looking into something that might solve the problem if I can get ahold of just the muffler.

If you dump before the axle, it will drone. I have the Magnaflow Magnapacks and the drone is present.

If you dump after the axle, you go over the axle, right?

I have pacesetters with 2.5" mandrel bent duals with an H pipe and dumps at the axle with Dynomax bullets. No drone here. I sound BETTER than a Mustang....I have an X pipe setup for sale in the parts section. Email jeffharmon70@hotmail.com for pics or info.

Just to clear something up "MagnaPacks" are like bullets, 4x14" round mufflers. The Maganaflow oval mufflers are probably more quiet since they are larger and are actual mufflers.
