Default What IS this? PICTURES INCLUDED

It is located on the aft end of the intake of a 2003 LQ9 from an Escalade.
It moves in and out but the red never completely dis-appears when "in".

NExt Question....where can I get vacuum for a power brake booster off this engine?

Thanks!!!

That's the provision where the brake booster fitting goes.

Thanks, but I try to stay away from FAA, I have some commercial derivative TH-67's (206-B's) and they can sometimes be nightmares waiting on the DAR's to make a decision.
My forte is army birds such as Apache, Chinook, Kiowa and Blackhawk.
I appreciate the thought tho, by the way.... Nice Picture!
